One thing I hope you'll see as you look through my work, especially if you peek at recent blog posts (at the bottom of this page), is that moments are important to me. I mean, real moments. I'm not talking about the contrived-standing-on-a-mountain-top-everything-looks-perfect-and-calculated kind of moments. We still make those happen if you want us to, but we tend to prioritize authenticity... moments over mountains. Spontaneity and story rather than posed perfection. My photos have been described as heartfelt and genuine.

You've worked hard on so many beautiful details, and we'll get all that too. But years down the road, the photos that are going to have the most meaning are the ones that tell stories. Like when the entire ceremony got put on hold because of a giant rain storm, but you rolled with it by moving cocktail hour up to pre-ceremony and your guests had a blast anyway, especially since the sun came out perfectly in full force afterward (see that wedding here). Or that look on your groom's face as you walk down the aisle, or how he keeps stealing glances at you during the ceremony and he can't help but smile. When your nephew snuck a bite of the frosting on your cake when he thought no one was looking. Or how your grandfather saw you in your dress and simply couldn't hold it together (see that wedding here). How it started raining during your first dance, and you had way more fun laughing through the rain than you would have if the weather was perfect (see that wedding here). The tears in your dad's eyes as he holds you close during his dance with you. When your maid of honor stood on a table and sang to the entire room.

That's the good stuff. Table decoration trends will fade. Your dress will likely get dirty throughout the day. But what will last are the memories you have of those who shared in your joy -- the people who love you so much that they traveled near and far to spend a day celebrating your love. And that's what I love the most about weddings. Yes, they are beautiful, but they are filled with so much emotion, so many stories.

Because I want to immerse myself in your wedding day story, I offer full-day, 8-10 hour coverage for all of my packages. While I make sure we get all the family groupings, wedding party photos, and the couples photos we need, I love having time to be a fly on the wall and document real moments throughout the day. Weddings start at $3250 and include two experienced photographers (meet Liz and see how we work together), 8-10 hours of coverage, a complimentary engagement session and all edited digital files on a custom usb drive.

PS - in keeping with my focus on authenticity, all the photos you'll see below were taken at real weddings or engagement sessions. They are not "styled shoots" and they are not from workshops where some other photographer placed a professional model in perfect light for workshop attendees. The photos below are real brides and grooms, just like you.

I’d love to sit down and get to know you better. I want to hear your story, and I'd love to be the one to help you tell part of it. Please click the Connect button below to get in touch.
