Most parents might panic if their daughter broke her arm a couple weeks before family photos, but not Sara. Rather than hiding Aidan’s cast, Sara wanted to be sure to document this time in their lives. That’s when I knew that Sara was a perfect fit for me as a client. I’m not necessarily interested in the stuffy, everyone-in-their-Sunday-best, stiffly posed kind of family photos. I’m interested in showing who you really are as a family and as individuals. I want to capture you interacting and having fun together, documenting your lives as they are so that you can look back on and remember a time when you laughed together, played together, maybe a time when you still could pick up your daughter or son and give them a big squeeze. Time is so fleeting. Make sure you are taking the time to capture those moments you can never get back.

We shot this session at the Hereford Ranch. Little Aidan was so much fun to photograph. I just couldn’t get enough of her. Every time I asked her to do something different, she gave me the cutest giggle, which in turn made us all giggle. What a sweet soul she is! As usual, here are a few of my favorites. Thanks for stopping by!

And yes, I’m 9 months pregnant and still getting attempting to get on my belly in the grass — have no fear, it’s more of a side-elbow maneuver these days. But I just couldn’t resist this light and the sweet look on her face.
