I love Curt Gowdy in the fall. Scratch that. I love Wyoming in the fall. I will say, though, the weather can be a little hit or miss. It can snow in early September. When Ben and Cassie got in touch about engagement photos, we had a very specific window to do them, and we really lucked out. You see, Ben and Cassie live in different states, and Cassie was here in Wyoming for a very short time frame. I’m so glad we were able to snag these while she was here!

I love engagement sessions because I can get to know a couple a little while we shoot. Unlike a wedding day, where we have just a small part of the day’s timeline to do couple’s photos, engagements offer a lot more time to chat. It’s for this reason I offer a complimentary engagement session with every wedding package. I want to get to know people well before the big day. Not only do engagement sessions offer a great time to do that, but they also give me a glimpse into how the couple interacts when it’s just the two of them. We have ample time to hike around, enjoy scenery, and relax into moments that are more genuine. They have definitely become my favorite types of sessions.

I especially love doing them when the weather is beautiful, which reminds me…..if you’re planning a wedding next summer, the time to get in touch is now. Not only are my summer and fall wedding dates almost gone, but I’d love to get your engagement session on the books before it’s too late.

Here are a few from Ben and Cassie’s session that I absolutely loved. Thanks for stopping by!
