This Teton wedding was a photographer's dream, mostly because of its gorgeous location. Katie and Joe's ceremony site at the Diamond Cross Ranch was stunning. The entire Teton range frames a gorgeous pasture that serves as the ceremony backdrop. The ranch managers released horses across the pasture as Katie walked down the aisle. The weather was perfect on this gorgeous September day. In fact, I'm convinced that September may be the perfect time for a wedding in Jackson. We shot this wedding the day before another perfect wedding in Jackson, Bailey and Pat's, which you can see if you click here.

While Katie and Joe live in Lander, they decided to get married at the Diamond Cross Ranch outside of Jackson. They loved the ranch's epic views and the convenience of having the ceremony and reception in one place. Diamond Cross is located between Jackson and Dubois, about a mile from the Hatchet resort, where Katie decided to lodge her wedding party and get ready.

The Hatchet is a Teton county staple, especially for folks who live in some of the outlying areas near Moran. I have many memories of eating at the cafe because it is one of about three restaurants near my husband's family cabin. The cabins, rooms and lodges have recently undergone renovation. They've done a nice job of keeping the Hatchet's old charm during the upgrades, so it still has that rustic Wyoming feel.

We had the most beautiful sunset that night. We loved the photos were able to get at sunset with the horses. The horses were sweet and friendly but they also wanted to eat Katie's flowers  for a snack. Liz found this out quickly while she was trying to hold the flowers and shoot couples portraits.

Planning a wedding at Diamond Cross Ranch? We love shooting in the Tetons and Jackson Hole area! Reach out if you're in need of a Wyoming photographer!
